How to play Scorpion solitaire

In Scorpion you build each suit, in order, from King down to Ace right in the columns. Like Yukon, you can move any face-up card together with the cards on top of it.

The layout

• Seven columns of seven cards. In the first four columns, the top three cards are face down.
• Three cards are held back (top left). Tap them once to deal one onto each of the first three columns.
• Completed suits go to the four spaces at the top right.

The rules

• Build down in the same suit: the 6♥ goes only on the 7♥.
• You may move any face-up card together with all the cards on top of it, as long as that card fits where it lands.
• When you uncover a face-down card, it turns face up.
• Only a King (with anything on top of it) can go into an empty column.
• When a column holds a whole suit from King down to Ace, it’s removed. Complete all four suits to win.

How to play here

1. Tap any face-up card and it moves, with everything on top of it, to where it fits.
2. Tap the three held-back cards when you’re ready to deal them. You can only do this once.
3. Undo as often as you like, and tap Hint when you’re stuck.

Tips

• Uncover the face-down cards in the first four columns early. They’re often the ones you need.
• Don’t rush to deal the three held-back cards; they can bury cards you need.
• An empty column is precious. Use it to set up a King whose suit you’re close to completing.
