Cribbage with cards you can actually read
This is the classic two-player card game, played against a computer opponent in your browser. The cards are large, the running count is always on screen, and when the hands are counted the game shows every point — “fifteen two, fifteen four, and a pair is six” — so you never have to wonder where a score came from.

How to play this game
- Deal. You and the computer each get six cards. Whoever deals owns the crib for that hand.
- Pick two cards for the crib. Tap two cards, then Put in crib. A starter card is then turned up.
- Play to 31. Take turns playing a card. The count is shown in the white circle. Cards that would go over 31 are greyed out, and the game calls “Go” for you.
- Count the hands. The non-dealer counts first, then the dealer, then the crib. Tap Next to see each one.
- Race to 121. The first player to peg out wins. Finish before your opponent reaches 91 and it’s a skunk.

Questions
Is it really free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it’s free, and there is nothing to sign up for or download. Open the page and play.
Will I lose my game if I close the page?
No. The game is saved in your browser after every move, so you can come back to the same hand later on the same device. Clearing your browser data removes it.
How good is the computer?
On Hard, it works out the average value of every possible discard over all possible starter cards, including what goes to the crib, and during the play it avoids giving you easy fifteens, pairs and 31s. Easy plays more loosely and is a good way to learn.
Can I play on my phone or tablet?
Yes. The table fits a phone screen, and every button is large enough to tap comfortably. Turning a tablet sideways gives the cards even more room.
Does the computer cheat or see my cards?
No. It decides using only its own cards, the starter and the cards already played. The deck is shuffled with your browser’s cryptographic random number generator.
