How to play Golf solitaire
Golf is a quick, satisfying solitaire: clear seven columns by playing cards one higher or lower than the card on the pile.
The rules
- Seven columns of five cards, all face up. The other cards form the deck, with one card turned face up to start the pile.
- Play the bottom card of any column onto the pile if it is one higher or one lower, whatever the suit.
- King and Ace don’t connect in Golf: nothing goes from a King to an Ace or back.
- When nothing fits, tap the deck to turn over its next card. You go through the deck once.
- Clear all 35 cards to win. Like real golf, fewer cards left is a better score.
How to play here
- Tap the bottom card of a column to play it.
- Tap the deck when you’re stuck.
- Undo as often as you like; Hint points to the best card.

Is Golf hard to win?
Clearing every card is hard; most games end with a few cards left. By default the computer checks each new deal and only gives you one it has found a way to clear.
